Why do I not get SOL from burning cNFTs?

cNFTs, also known as compressed NFTs store their data offchain. By doing this it reduces the size needed to store a NFT on the network. Using this structure the rent bearing accounts you can reclaim SOL from are not present. Storing this data offchain is why cNFTs do not return SOL when burned.

How to burn cNFTS

1. Connect your wallet

See Connecting Your Wallet to get connected.

2. Select a cNFT

3. Click BURN

4. Confirm selections

5. Sign transaction

6. Success
