# Autocompounder

Autoconvert tokens as they arrive in your wallet.

Learn how to use Autocompounder.

Autoconvert tokens as they arrive in your wallet.

## Autocompounder FAQ

<details>

<summary>How does it work?</summary>

You choose the token you receive, the token to buy, and a total spending limit. Incoming tokens are converted only inside the limit that is left.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What am I approving?</summary>

The total spending limit. When it is used up, swaps stop until you approve a new limit.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Does this burn my tokens?</summary>

No. Autocompounder swaps the tokens you chose. It does not burn them, and it does not close the account.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I stop an Autocompounder?</summary>

Yes. **Cancel** stops future swaps.

</details>

<details>

<summary>I already have one for this token.</summary>

Cancel that Autocompounder before you create another for the same token.

{% step %}

### Connect Wallet

See [Connecting Your Wallet](/tool-guide/connecting-your-wallet.md) for instructions.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose tokens

Open **When I receive** and choose the token that arrives in your wallet. Open **Autoconvert into** and choose the token to buy. The two tokens have to be different.

<figure><img src="https://1873951249-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FA5iitZPaneFn10oUprDy%2Fuploads%2Fx1mV4ze4iAocBbcQKEj2%2Fchoose-token.png?alt=media" alt="Choose a token dialog, with a search field and a list of tokens."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set the spending limit

Review **Total spending limit**, then click **Enable**.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Sign Transaction

Sign and confirm your transaction by clicking **Confirm**.

{% hint style="info" %}
The confirm transaction screen may appear differently due to using a different wallet.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Your Autocompounders

Your pair is listed under **Your Autocompounders**. **Active** means the spending limit still has room. History shows the swaps for that pair.

<figure><img src="https://1873951249-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FA5iitZPaneFn10oUprDy%2Fuploads%2FAd6LEIwdXiR7PkQP4NQ8%2Fexisting.png?alt=media" alt="An active Autocompounder, with the pair and Active badge marked."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### One token, one Autocompounder

If you pick a token you already use, cancel that pair before you create another. Click **Manage** to jump to it.

<figure><img src="https://1873951249-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FA5iitZPaneFn10oUprDy%2Fuploads%2FWePy9oLiQj9Jt1Lnug6J%2Falready-exists.png?alt=media" alt="The form telling you to cancel the existing Autocompounder, with the warning and Manage marked."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Change the limit

On the pair, click **Update allowance**. Review **New remaining allowance**, click **Approve**, then confirm in your wallet.

To stop the pair, click **Cancel** and confirm in your wallet.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.sol-incinerator.com/tool-guide/autocompounder.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
